Miku Sushi Chicago – The Premier Sushi Restaurant in Lincoln Square

I visited Miku Sushi with my colleague this past week and I wasn’t disappointed. The sushi was fresh, creative, flavorful, nice portions, and affordable. More to come…

Miku Sushi is located on Lincoln Ave 1-block south of the Davis Theater. Lincoln Square is a vibrant neighborhood and is one of the hottest areas in the city. The Western Avenue stop on the CTA Brown Line will drop you off in the heart of Lincoln Square. Miku Sushi is a short 2-block walk from the train station.

If you are driving to Miku Sushi, you will find ample street parking just outside the restaurant.
The restaurant feels large… there is plenty of open space so you will not feel crowded. The exposed ‘Chicago-brick’ walls and décor makes this a very comfortable space.
The food was so good that we definitely over-ate… I skipped breakfast and lunch the next day.

For starters, we were treated to several different dishes. The two that stood out were the Rib-Eye Skewer and the Rock Shrimp. Both were outstanding and should definitely be on your radar screen. The portions are large enough to share with another person.

For the main course, we sampled three of their more popular items: the Chilean Sea Bass, the Flaming Dragon Maki, and the Spicy Garlic Miso Ramen. The Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly cooked. The Flaming Maki did in fact arrive at our table on fire… the presentation was very terrific… more importantly, the maki roll was absolutely delicious. The Spicy Garlic Miso Ramen is basically a large noodle soup with a ton of flavor. If you like noodle soup, you’ll love this version. Here’s my take… order the Sea Bass and the Dragon Maki and share with others. It will give you the opportunity to sample two of their top menu items.

The star of the show was the 15-piece Sashimi Matsu Plate! The presentation was beautiful and the sashimi pieces were nice sized. The 15 pieces consisted of tuna, salmon, octopus, yellow tail, white tuna, and a couple of other items.

But wait, there’s more…

For dessert, we tried the Green Tea Ice Cream, the Mango Cheese Cake, and the Chocolate Egg Roll. Take your pick, all three were the perfect ending to a great meal.
We received 5-star service from the minute we walked in, to the moment we walked out. We were greeted quickly upon arrival and immediately walked to our table. Our server was always available and did her job with a smile. Miku Sushi understands customer service and executes it very well!

In summary, the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone who loves sushi and to those want to try it for the first time!!

Enjoy!
